Saint Ignatius School offers a full-time learning support program that can assist our students with a variety of academic challenges. Our learning support program offers the opportunity for one-on-one assistance for students and an opportunity for parents to seek accommodation and modification plans for students who have a 504 plan or an IEP. Our Learning Support Specialist will work with the parent, student, administration, and teacher in order to help create an individual plan that will offer the best opportunity for the student to succeed at our school.
For any questions regarding our Learning Support Program, please contact our Learning Support Specialist.
I believe all children are unique and have a desire to learn. It is my hope to create an atmosphere where all children can meet their full potential. As the teacher, I have high expectations for each of the students I see. After leaving my classroom I hope that my students realize that we are all lifelong learners.
I have been working with students in the field of English Language Arts for many years. My Bachelor's Degree is from West Chest University. I have advanced credits in the field of reading and have taken Wilson training classes along the way.
I will be working with small groups to provide support and enrich the curriculum. Working closely with the classroom teacher I will help with the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students.
From time to time I will push into the classroom to help with activities that are happening in class. In the Learning support room, I will be working on study skills, literacy skills, and testing strategies.
